This 1940 Martin D-28 has been down the road and back, and it wears that history with pride. It features a replaced ebony bridge and maple bridge plate, a fresh bone nut, refret, and a solid neck reset—all done to keep it playing and sounding its best. Several crack repairs, including a center seam repair with maple cleats and a filled input jack hole on the treble side, speak to its working life, and it sports a well-done old factory refinish that lets the Brazilian rosewood back and sides shine. Replacement tuners, strap buttons, and a repaired B-string crack round out the more visible work. Check out the specs tab for the full list of repairs. Its dry, defined, worn-in tone has that wide-open pre-war character that makes these guitars so coveted.
Includes White Calton hard shell case.
