This example from 1937 is a timestamp in history to show us just how wonderful the craftsman were in the earlier years. Sonic qualities are full of the best notes a player could hopeful. The guitar is loud and articulate. A natural compression is present in the guitar that makes the volume of every note stand out. Flatpicking really shines on this guitar because the dynamics are so impressive. Hard bass hits in combination with flourishing higher accents present the listener and the player with a balanced experience. It takes time, attention and age to reveal an instrument that performs and tells a story as impressively as this one. The guitar is not in perfect original condition, but it does not suffer from the repairs received. This instrument has seen a neck reset, refret and a new bridge. The nut and saddle are also replacements along with an added tongue brace. There is a bit of finish reaction on the back and sides, a hole from previous strap button and plugged and redialed holes in the bridge plate. Additional repairs and modifications include a plugged end pin hole, plugged jack hole with touchup and a repaired pickguard crack. The finish condition is the result of a top overspray and being sanded back to the original finish, finish touchup on the back and the back and sides polished to a gloss.
