A pre-war D-18 is one of the most desirable vintage guitars out there. This 1939 example, while not factory original, has been tastefully restored to playing shape with lots of character to the top remaining. The warm vintage tone woods leave its tone pure and balanced, with rich lows and responsive highs.
This guitar has had newer finish applied all over (a refinish to the mahogany sections and overspray elsewhere). The tuners, bridge, frets, nut, saddle, and bridge pins have been replaced. Additionally, it's benefitted from a neck reset, fretboard plane and refret, and a plug repair to the original bridge plate. This guitar sustained a headstock break, but it was promptly glued back in alignment with all of its wood fibers and was given a finish touchup that allowed it blend back in.
Includes 1980s thermoplastic Martin hard shell case.
