Martin produced some of their finest guitars in the 1950s—a time when the post-WWII labor shortage had ended, high-quality tonewoods were readily available, and production numbers hadn’t yet surged due to the folk boom. The 21 series sits between the 18 and 28, offering the rich tone of Brazilian rosewood with a more understated aesthetic.
