This Martin 000-28 is a stunning late wartime piece in remarkably clean condition. An Adirondack spruce top paired with breathtaking Brazilian rosewood back and sides make for a combination as visually appealing as it is sonically. Its tone is very good, however it has gone unplayed for many decades according to its previous owner, so the next owner has the privilege of opening up its sound to its full potential. Repair work is minimal with a neck reset, compression refret and new bridge construction performed by our in-house repair team. There is a small puncture repair spot on the treble side shoulder, and a maple strip has been added to the end block for reinforcement. There was some overspray on the puncture repair and there is a small finish crack on the back treble side, but otherwise remains super clean.
Includes '40s Lifton case.
