Martin Custom Shop OM-18 Sinker Mahogany 2020, Natural

This 2020 Martin Custom Shop OM-18 Sinker Mahogany in natural finish is a special instrument with a beautiful combination of tonewoods and a voice all its own. The Adirondack spruce top, paired with forward-shifted scalloped bracing, delivers a lively, responsive tone with excellent headroom, warmth, and clarity. The sinker mahogany back and sides bring a rich, woody character and a wonderful balance that makes this guitar equally rewarding for fingerpicking and strumming. The sinker mahogany used throughout the neck, neck block, back, sides, and end block comes from old-growth trees harvested in Belize between the 1880s and early 1920s, giving this instrument a connection to a remarkable source of vintage timber. The 1-3/4-inch nut width, Performing Artist neck contour, adjustable truss rod, and bone nut and saddle round out a thoughtfully designed Custom Shop build. It has the feel of a finely crafted working instrument, with a responsive touch, a strong, clear voice, and the kind of character that makes you want to spend more time playing it.
