Coming straight out of the time period dominated by the folk revival, this 1962 Martin 000-18 is a vintage gem. Later in the decade and into the 70s Martin would ramp up production, in the process making a lot of changes that many feel were to the detriment of their guitars. But guitars made in 1962 share more in common with those made in the 40s and 50s, including a smaller bridgeplate, hide glue construction, and tortoise binding and pickguard. As a result, this lightweight 000-18 is a delight to play, especially for fingerpickers looking for the clean, woody tone of Mahogany, and a great entry point for anyone looking to get into the vintage market. Beautifully aged and well-maintained, some minor repairs have been done over the years, and a saddle adjustment was made just recently to improve the set-up. But overall, it's in fantastic original condition.
