This gorgeous 00-17 was purchased by one Mr. Jimmy D. Fare in 1946 after returning home from serving in the Navy in WWII. This guitar was mostly closet kept, until it was discovered by Jimmy's brother in the 80s following his passing. It now comes to us from its second owner who purchased it directly from Jimmy's brother. It's an exceptionally beautiful instrument and sounds and plays incredible. It's had some very non-invasive modification and repairs over the years, most of which still leave the guitar largely original. The bridge, pins and saddle have been replaced as well as the tuners and nut. It's had a neck reset, refret and several crack repairs along the bottom as well as a B-string crack between the bridge and pickguard. But, arguably the coolest part of the whole thing is that it includes a WWII sweetheart bracelet with Jimmy's name on it. This mahogany beauty is ready for its next owner to take it to its 80th birthday and beyond.

Includes Modern Martin hard shell case.
