This British classic comes from the golden era of amps, spanning the late ’60s into the early ’70s. The 1989 circuit is an ultra-rare model originally intended for organ use. While nearly identical to the 1986 Bass circuit, it features a few value changes that give it a distinct tonal character. The Drake transformers are also the same as those used in the 50w Bass/Lead model.
This particular amp remains completely stock, with the only modification being the installation of an IEC port in place of the original British Bulgin connector. For Marshall collectors, this one checks all the boxes—great vintage tone, original parts, and a rare configuration!
Despite being fully functional the buyer should note this amp has long expired electrolytic capacitors. Should someone need prolonged or gigging use from this piece then servicing would be advised.
