Marshall 1960B 4x12 Straight Cab Basketweave w/ 20w Celestions 1968, Black

Built during the late-’60s “Plexi” era, this cabinet features the iconic basketweave grill cloth along with metal handles. While it shows light signs of previous use, including a couple of small rips in the tolex, it has held up remarkably well for its age.

The main feature of this cabinet is its speaker complement, with three of the famed G12M 20-watt Celestion T1511s from 1968, all retaining their original “102 014” 55Hz Pulsonic cones and dating to early 1968. The fourth speaker is a Celestion G12H 25-watt T1281, which also retains its original 55hz Pulsonic cone. We don’t come across many cabinets with these early speakers still intact, and the end result is a tremendous-sounding cabinet that would make the perfect complement to a Plexi-era Marshall!
