Modifications/RepairsShaved-down bridge bottomed out; saddles replaced, Dowels in pickup cavities, heavy glue, Needs the neck to be reset to be a real conversion, this is just a cosmetic conversion, refin, refret, new nibs, added PAFS with short magnets, replaced nut, partial to full rewire

This Les Paul has had an interesting journey, and is not lacking in vibe! It is cosmetically a '52-'57 conversion, but has not had the structural modifications to make it a true '57 spec guitar. The electronics, bridge assembly, and nut have been replaced. It currently has '60-'61 PAFS with short magnets, the bridge having been rewound and modified with its legs clipped; it is probably from a 335. There are 3 original pots, 1 replaced pot, 2 new caps, and it has been at least a partially rewired with three strand braided wire. There are also dowels in the pickup cavities with heavy glue.

The neck needs to be reset to make this a true conversion; currently the action is unadjustable, with the bridge being bottomed out and the saddle replaced. The action on the bass side is .115” (average) and .80” (pretty stout) on the treble side. These measurements are from the top of the frets to the top of the strings. It has had a refret and there is glue under the frets. Finally it has been refinished and the finish on the body is super thick especially around the neck heel, plus there are grooves along the side of the neck that go deep into the top. Despite this extensive mod list, this guitar plays and sounds amazing and comes with a hard case!
