Gibson Custom Shop M2M Les Paul Standard Plaintop 2017, Bourbon Burst

Built in late 2017 at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, this Made-to-Measure '58 Les Paul Standard is the only one of its kind, a singular take on the most celebrated recipe in electric guitar history. Its plain top wears a Bourbon Burst that deepens into Historic Reissue Red Aniline Dye across the back, neck and rims, a look that's both understated and rich. Underneath, it was put together the old way: a one-piece mahogany back, a '58-style carve, and hide glue binding the top, neck and neck joint, just as the originals were. The chunky '59-dimension neck, Custombucker pickups under True Historic covers and period-correct appointments from the knobs to the pickguard all keep to that same vintage ideal. At a comfortable 8.0 lbs, it's a one-of-one Les Paul waiting for its next chapter.
