Description

The Gibson BR-4 is a simple but excellent-sounding amplifier. Dating to 1948, it features octal preamp tubes and a field-coil speaker, delivering a warm, midrange-forward sound with plenty of natural tube compression. This example shows light signs of previous wear and still presents very well for its age.

Internally, it has received a light amount of servicing, including a replaced power cord. While fully functional, it is a primitive design and may require additional servicing in the future to ensure long-term reliability.
