This 1959 Vibrolux delivers classic tweed tone to match its charming aged tweed look. The 5F11 circuit offers a nice midway point in gain—less aggressive than a Tweed Deluxe—along with a surprisingly good tremolo. At some point an extra speaker jack was added to the control plate, but it has since been disabled.
The power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, and two coupling capacitors in the tremolo circuit were swapped to restore functionality. Otherwise, the preamp circuit remains completely original. The output transformer has been replaced with a vintage-spec Lenco, built with paper bobbins like the original Triads, and it does an excellent job of preserving the amp’s authentic tweed character.
It also comes with the original cover and footswitch!
Although currently functional, the buyer should note this amp has an original speaker cone, which could be fragile and prone to separating from the voice coil.
