This amp features the rare 5D3 circuit, which predates the 5E3 and represents the first Deluxe to use 9-pin preamp tubes instead of octals. The result is a distinctive tone—still retaining some of the midrange bark from the octal designs, but with added clarity and refinement thanks to the 12AX7 in the phase inverter.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with one power resistor. Otherwise the preamp is all original.
This amp shows moderate signs of previous wear, with some nice aging to the Tweed covering that gives it a great vintage vibe!
