One of the earliest iterations of the Fender Champ, this 1951 Fender Champion features the TV front style cabinet design, with a charming two tone covering. The circuit is the same used through the 5B1 model, and features a 6SJ7 octal preamp tube. The use of the octal tube provides a unique midrange-focused sound, setting itself apart from the later 5E1 style that uses the 9-pin 12AX7.
Internally, the power cord has been swapped, and the death cap removed, but everything else is original. This amp is in excellent shape for it's age, with only minor signs of previous wear, and no significant blemishes to speak of.
