Description

Talk about flashy! This 1986 Martin D-42 is a rare custom order post-1969 build with Brazilian rosewood back and sides. It offers substantial and universally beloved Martin dreadnought tone. The playability is comfortable, and while a neck reset may be in the cards down the road, at the moment the action is great. Its ornamentation is exquisite with abalone inlays and gold hardware. These do appear to be the original tuners, but at some point others were installed and the drill holes remains. Cosmetically, it's in good shape with minor player wear and some surface level finish cracks. Singed by CF Martin III & IV, this guitar is a special one!
