This 1954 Martin D-28 is a beautifully worn vintage guitar with the kind of tone and feel that only comes from decades of playing. It has a powerful, dry, and resonant voice with plenty of warmth, projection, and character. The neck feels great in the hand and the guitar plays exceptionally well. It has been professionally maintained over the years, including a neck reset, refret, new tuners, new bridge plate, and X-brace reglue, along with two top cleats. The neck finish has been lightly sanded and slightly reshaped around the first position for a comfortable playing feel. Structurally stable, the guitar shows plenty of honest wear with dings, scratches, marks, and chips throughout, along with beautifully checked finish that gives it an unmistakable vintage look. A fantastic old D-28 with real character, great playability, and a voice that has stood the test of time.
Comes with a SKB hardshell case.
