While instrument makers may aim for, and even market, certain nut widths for their models, we acknowledge variance within the manufacturing process and treat each instrument as an individual case. We believe that transparency of the instrument’s true measurements, down to decimal form, is essential for customers choosing to purchase remotely with confidence. The following are common industry nut width fractions converted to decimal form
1 9/16”: 1.563”
1 5/8”: 1.625”
1 11/16”: 1.688”
1 3/4”: 1.750”
1 7/8”: 1.875”
Nowhere short of impressive, this Goldtop is a stunning gold finish all over. The subtle wear on this guitar tells the story of a lifetime of play and love from its owners as it continues to bring a smile to anyone that plays it. This guitar has a wonderful clarity and attack from the P90 pickups. The only modification was a Gretsch style strap button on the upper bass horn; keeping it installed is a nod to its previous owner. The bridge/trapeze system was never converted, but a simple non-invasive system exists from Music City Bridge should the next owner choose to top wrap.
Typically seen with a mahogany back, this guitar was fully finished with the iconic gold paint at the factory; making it a very early example of this phenomenon. It has aged beautifully and shows some areas of oxidation. The neck is extremely comfortable to play and overall the Les Paul is a very well balanced instrument.
