This Gibson Les Paul "Music Rising," number 184 of only 300 produced, was created to support musicians who lost their instruments in Hurricane Katrina. The body features unique, hand-painted designs inspired by the vibrant colors of Mardi Gras, with each guitar individually crafted to ensure no two are alike. Reflecting the spirit of resilience, the guitars intentionally display imperfections—such as random paint splatters—symbolizing the aftermath of the hurricane. All standard plastic components, including the backplate, pickguard, toggle cover, and truss rod cover, have been replaced with wood sourced from the hurricane-affected states. The exclusive Music Rising logo is etched into the pickguard, adding a distinctive touch to this meaningful instrument. A true collector’s piece, it comes with its original hardshell case.
