This 1954 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop is a wonderfully preserved example of the model's early evolution, with all the tone and feel that made these instruments the stuff of legends. It features a carved maple top over a solid mahogany body, a medium C neck profile with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and weighs in at a comfortable 8.8 lbs. The original P-90s, Gray Tiger caps, and untouched solder joints deliver a raw, articulate voice and midrange bite. Tasteful updates include a MojoAxe stoptail for improved intonation and stability, replacement tuner buttons, and straplocks (original bridge and strap buttons included in the case). The guitar retains its original no-line Kluson Deluxe tuners (with replaced buttons) with CentraLab pots dating to the 20th week of 1953.
Includes original Lifton hard shell case.
