This amp comes from a great era for Gibson, featuring tweed covering and a more conventional circuit compared to later years. It’s often compared to a Tweed Deluxe, but at a fraction of the price. Functionally, it's very similar to a GA-18 Explorer, just without the tremolo.
Internally, the power cord, electrolytic caps, power tube sockets, and tone pot have all been replaced for functionality. Otherwise, most of the preamp components remain original. The output transformer is a modern replacement with no markings, and the speaker is a high-end Eminence Red Coat Ramrod 10".
