This 2004 Gibson F-5 Alan Bibey is a professionally appointed mandolin built with a solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides. The parallel tone bar bracing gives it a quick, focused response with strong projection and a dry, articulate character. Features including the scalloped ebony fingerboard extension, engraved gold-plated tailpiece, flowerpot headstock inlay, and tortoise binding give the instrument an elegant but restrained appearance. Finished in nitro and #16 of only 50 built, this is a clean example of Gibson’s Alan Bibey signature model from the early 2000s.
Includes TKL hard shell case.
