Description

The Gibson Collector's Choice #35 "Gruhn Burst" recreates the 1959 Les Paul Prototype #1 from the collection of George Gruhn. Finished in Lemon Burst, it combines a lightweight mahogany body, figured maple top, and a pair of Custombucker pickups with hide glue construction and vintage-correct hardware throughout. Every aspect of the build is centered on the features unique to the original guitar, giving this model its own identity within the Collector's Choice series instead of simply revisiting a standard 1959 reissue. This 2016 example offers the craftsmanship and accuracy that have made the Collector's Choice line one of Gibson Custom Shop's most respected limited-production offerings.
