This 1961 Fender Precision Bass is finished in Sunburst and represents one of the most influential bass designs of the early electric era. Its alder body, maple neck, and split-coil pickup deliver the focused low end and strong midrange response that helped shape countless recordings throughout the 1960s and beyond. This example has undergone a body refinish, with the headstock face oversprayed and the original logo painted over beneath a heavy clear coat, while an older tuner crack repair remains visible on the headstock. Some of the original cloth wiring has been replaced with spliced-in plastic-coated wire, but the bass remains in very good condition overall and retains the lively feel and sound that continue to make early Precision Basses such compelling instruments.
Includes OHSC.
