This 1948 Gibson Southern Jumbo is a well-played vintage dreadnought with dried-out punchy tone and exceptionally vintage character. There is substantial wear throughout the body, but thanks to some recent in-house repairs it's in exceptional playing shape. The guitar has received a neck reset with a replacement nut and saddle, a refret, replacement tuner buttons, a replacement bridge plate, repair of a B-string crack with a cleat, several repaired braces, a reglued pickguard, and a reglued bridge. Cosmetically, there are scratches throughout (a notable section on the lower bout treble side bottom), many finish dings, checking and hairline cracks, however the B-string crack appears to be the only one to make it through the wood.
Includes 60s hard shell case.
