This 1951 Gibson J-45 has seen a long life and the kind of repair history that comes from keeping a well-loved instrument moving forward. The top has been refinished, and both the bridge and pickguard were replaced, giving the guitar a cleaner, newer-era look. Structural work includes a secured neck block, repaired back cracks, a replaced bridge plate, and an added popsicle-stick brace, all done to maintain stability. It’s also been refretted, fitted with a new nut and saddle, and given a proper neck reset to bring playability back in line. With a strap button added along the way, it carries the marks of an instrument that’s been actively used and thoughtfully maintained over many decades.
Although it's seen its fair share of repair, it sounds like a vintage Gibson dreadnought should - round, full and warm. It plays great too. Includes modern Gibson hard shell case.
