Absolutely prime example of straight grained Brazilian Rosewood with an incredible blooming sound. This guitar just received a neck set that has it sounding and playing wonderfully. The low end booms in a way that is manageable and not overpowering to a microphone, it is met with a healthy midrange and perfectly clear trebles that sparkle and cut. The tonal balance of the guitar is everything you would look for in a vintage Brazilian Martin. A sweet compression that blends across the notations and doesn't stop the guitar from opening and having plenty of headroom to spare. For the delicate songwriter or the soaring bluegrasser, this D-28 gets the job done, and then some. Additional repairs include having the bridge shaved down, replacement tuners, and a strap button installed on the neck.
