Renowned for its timeless sound and classic design, the Martin D-28 is the quintessential dreadnought guitar. In continuous production since before World War II, it remains one of the most iconic acoustic guitars in modern music. Celebrated for its rich, resonant tones—particularly those produced by its Brazilian Rosewood back and sides—and its unmatched expressive range, the D-28 exemplifies the enduring craftsmanship of Martin guitars. This example, featuring a Brazilian Rosewood body and a solid Spruce top, has developed a beautiful patina over the decades. While it retains much of its originality, it has undergone expert repairs and maintenance, including a neck reset, refret, fretboard planing, a repaired side crack near the heel, a bridge re-glue, and a back crack repair near the center. There is also overspray on the back, sides, and neck. Additional updates include drop-in replacement Kluson tuners (originals included), a new nut, saddle, and bridge pins. Thanks to these professional restorations, the guitar offers exceptional tone and playability. It comes with the original hardshell case.
