Very few amplifiers share the commanding sonic presence that is the 100W Marshall. The 1959T Tremolo amps are an even rarer version, with significantly less models in circulation. This amp was built right at the end of the plexi era, and still shares the same hand-wired internal layout, with the dark red/brown board, as opposed to the tan color of the later 70's. This amp has remained mostly original, with the only changes being a pair of swapped input resistors, changed intensity and cathode follower 100k resistors, and the screen grid resistors on the power tubes. A couple parts in the trem section were also changed, and while the trem does work (poorly) most users will discover a superior crunch sound when utilizing the added bypass switch to remove the tremolo from the circuit. For further details, please refer to the circuit pictures, which are included as part of the condition disclosure. The amplifier exhibits some moderate signs of wear but remains structurally sound.
