Up for sale is an excellent Marshall Super Bass, from the legendary plexi era. If you can spare the extra volume you'll find these amps produce a sound can't be duplicated any other way. Aside from the changed Mercury power transformer you'll find this amp is mostly original where it counts.

The switches and pilot light have been changed, along with the original electrolytic caps. The following resistors have been changed with modern equivalents:

  • 470k/470k channel blend

  • 56k tone stack slope resistor

  • 10K phase inverter tail

  • 47k feedback resistor

  • Screen grid resistors changed for 2.2k 5w

There's various solder joint touch ups, mostly in places you'd expect - where parts were changed, but most of the nail polish still remains. Please see pictures for further details, as they are part of the disclosed description. This is a great player grade amp, with the added piece of mind of having a modern, reliable power transformer. Having retained the original output transformer gives you the best of both worlds, in terms of lowering the price while retaining the excellent original sound. If kept up well this could be a perfect gigging amp!
