The Marshall 1930 Popular is the slightly less sought after 10 watt brother to the Marshall 1974 18 watt. This amp had a full modification done to convert it over to 1974 specs - all the way down to adding 2 extra preamp tubes & sockets. Most of the components have been changed, but it does retain a few of the original ceramic caps. The filter cap is an LCR brand, dating from 1997. The output transformer has also been changed, perhaps to accommodate more power, bringing it closer to 18w. Next to the new OT, someone has mounted two jacks, for the 8ohm and 16ohm taps on the transformer.
