The fit and finish is much closer to the original, with plexiglass control panels and a stamped serial number, as opposed to a sticker. Most importantly they have Drake Transformers, which are the most important defining characteristic, since the original amps from the 60's.

1989 is the first year Marshall reissued the JTM45, and many consider this to be the best era aside from the originals. The fit and finish is much closer to the original, with plexiglass control panels and a stamped serial number, as opposed to a sticker. Most importantly they have Drake Transformers, which is the critical defining characteristic, ever since the mid 60's.
