This is a near-pristine example of what can be considered a rare Marshall combo. Not to be confused with the Lead & Bass 20, this 2x12 combo version of the Lead & Bass 50 1964 amp is designated as the 2100 model. While many assume it has separate Lead and Bass channels, it actually more closely resembles the 1986 Bass circuit, with a shared cathode for V1. Believe it or not this model most closely resembles the 1989 Organ circuit, of which the values are identical, plus or minus a Volume I bright cap.
Internally, the power cord and two filter caps have been replaced, along with the bias caps and dropping resistor. Otherwise, it remains original, complete with the infamous mustard caps that help define the Marshall sound. See the circuit photos for further detail. The Celestion T1511 Greenbacks still have their original cones, which are a bit tired at this point—but for anyone who loves speaker compression, it’s certainly a vibe.
