Description

This early example of the SJ-100 features the rare stairstep peghead shape and height-adjustable individual saddles. The short-lived model was introduced in '39 and discontinued in '43. The guitar features a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, and a Maple neck. The neck block and fingerboard have been replaced. There is finish overspray on the neck and touchup on the top (where there is pickwear). Three top cracks and two back cracks have been repaired.
