This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Jr. captures the lean, uncomplicated design that helped turn the model from a student instrument into a favorite among working guitarists. Built with a solid mahogany body and a single dogear P-90, it delivers the dry midrange response and sharp attack that gave these guitars their reputation in rock, blues, and early punk circles decades later. The pickup reads 7.8K and retains the lively, immediate character that makes a good late-’50s Junior feel unusually responsive in the hands.

The large oval neck measures .92"-.99", offering a substantial feel without becoming cumbersome, paired with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and original Kluson “3 on a strip” tuners. At 7.0 lbs, the guitar has an easy acoustic resonance that translates clearly when plugged in. The electronics remain original, while a Music City bridge has been installed for improved intonation and stability; the original bridge is included in the case. Overall condition is very good with honest wear throughout.

Includes black hard shell case.
