The J-45 has long been a flagship acoustic model for Gibson, offering a no frills guitar with excellent playability and instantly recognizable Gibson tone. This example comes from 1944, a highly sought after era of Gibson guitars. It's seen some wear, tear and repair throughout its 80 years, but comes to us now in perfectly playable condition thanks to some high level repair and maintenance. It has had a refret, a neck reset, overspray on neck, a replaced bridge plate and a repaired b string crack. Additional changes include a replaced set of tuners, a new nut, bridge, saddle, and bridge pins. Thanks to these thoughtful repairs and updates, this guitar is ready for another 80 years of music making. Comes with a Calton hardshell case.
