"One of the most fabled Gibsons of all time, the J-185 was originally released in 1951. Designed to be just slightly smaller in proportion to the larger SJ-200, the J-185 used similar appointments, Sitka spruce and maple back and sides for its construction."
The very definition of a "strummer" this 1954 J-185 is a bright, big, full sounding guitar that sounds and plays just fabulously! In its history, it has had a neck set, bridge reglue, the top has been rebraced (the back removed), and it has had a new saddle. The pickguard is coming up a bit, but beyond that it is in great condition for its age, with remarkably little cosmetic wear and tear. Comes in its original case.
