In 2008 Aaron Lewis (lead singer of Staind) purchased a 1951 Gibson SJ from the personal collection of Nate Westgar, owner of Willies Guitars. It became his most treasured acoustic. This is number 19 of 50 made and was aged by hand in the Montana Art Shop, then loaded with a Fishman matrix pickup. (Currently removed and in case) This guitar was picked out and set aside by Aaron for its great tone. It's amazing the detail this guitar has in its tonality, articulation and ability to replicate vintage Gibson sound. It is e
xtremely comfortable, broken-in feel with a smooth, played-in neck and a lightweight, resonant body that responds effortlessly to the touch.
It delivers a big, open, and woody tone with strong midrange focus, dry vintage-style punch, and excellent note separation. Warm, balanced strumming voice with clear, present single notes and a naturally airy, aged character.
It comes with some of its original documentation, but no COA.
