This 2013 Gibson Custom Shop Scotty Moore ES-295 revisits one of the most recognizable guitars of the early rock and roll era, finished in Gold with the model’s distinctive floral pickguard and dual P-90 pickups. Built in Gibson’s Memphis facility, it features a fully hollow laminated maple body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and period-inspired hardware including a trapeze tailpiece and Melita-style bridge. The combination of the lightweight hollowbody construction and P-90s delivers a lively, articulate response with plenty of acoustic character behind each note.
Adding to its appeal, this example has been signed by Scotty Moore, whose work alongside Elvis Presley helped shape the sound of popular music in the 1950s. The signature makes for a notable connection to one of the instrument’s key inspirations while remaining a faithful recreation of the original ES-295 design. A distinctive Custom Shop offering that captures an important chapter in Gibson’s hollowbody history.
