This 1958 Gibson ES-175 is a well-traveled example of one of Gibson’s most enduring hollowbody designs. Finished in sunburst, it retains the warm acoustic character and responsive feel that helped make the model a favorite among jazz, blues, and early rock and roll players. The guitar is currently fitted with a pair of later Patent No. humbuckers with chrome covers, offering a different voice than its original PAF configuration while remaining firmly rooted in classic Gibson territory.

Over the years, the instrument has received a number of practical updates including replacement tuners, replacement knobs, a refret, and a pinned bridge. Additional changes include a filled strap button hole on the upper bass side bout and an added strap button. Cosmetic wear includes finish checking throughout, finish reaction around the F-holes, and slight stress cracking around the input jack. With decades of use behind it, this ES-175 carries the honest signs of a guitar that has remained in service rather than sitting on the sidelines.

Includes Lifton hard shell case with brown interior.
