Gibson Custom Shop '59 ES-335 2025, Double Gold

The ’59 ES-335 is Gibson’s recreation of the earliest version of its iconic semi-hollow design, with the rounded cutaways, dot inlays, and vintage-style appointments associated with the original models. This 2025 Custom Shop example is finished in Double Gold, giving the familiar ES-335 shape a decidedly different look from the more common Sunburst and Cherry finishes. The 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body surrounds a solid Maple center block, while a Mahogany neck with a rounded ’59-style profile keeps the feel rooted in the original design. Custombucker pickups and vintage-replica hardware round out the build, making this a particularly distinctive modern take on the classic late-’50s ES-335.
