This 1960s Gibson A-5 is a lively, mid-century example of Gibson’s long-running mandolin craftsmanship. It features the classic oval-hole warmth and sustain, with a rich, woody voice that suits everything from old-time to swing. A pickup has been installed for stage use, and the original pickguard mount has been superglued to secure it in place. The small bass-side scroll on the headstock has been repaired, and there is a small shallow crack beneath the heel, but the instrument remains structurally sound. A charming vintage mandolin with tasteful checking and very light player wear considering its age.
Includes OHSC.
