This 1925 Gibson A-Junior Snakehead mandolin in Dark Brown is a wonderful example of Gibson’s Kalamazoo craftsmanship during one of the most celebrated periods in the company’s history. Featuring a carved spruce top, birch back and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard, this A-Junior was originally designed as an affordable carved-top instrument for beginning players without sacrificing the construction standards Gibson was known for. The understated brown stain finish and simple appointments give it an honest, no-frills appeal, while the distinctive Snakehead headstock and slimmer, Lloyd Loar-era neck profile reflect the design characteristics of Gibson’s mid-1920s mandolins. With its clear, woody tone, responsive feel, and unmistakable vintage personality, this is a special opportunity to own a piece of Gibson history.

Comes with original chipboard case.
