Most people have never seen a Brownface-era Vibrolux—and frankly, we at Carter Vintage have only come across two other examples in 12 years! The 6G11 circuit leans more toward the sound of the 6G3 Brown Deluxe than its other 2x6L6 counterparts. Simply put, this single 12", 35-watt format works incredibly well for this era of Vibrolux, continuing into the non-reverb Blackface models. And as you might expect—the tremolo is fantastic. It should be noted that the tube chart has fallen out and is no longer present, but the cabinet is otherwise all original.

Internally, the amp remains mostly original, with a replaced power cord and electrolytic caps. The screen grid resistors were swapped, and the bias resistor was changed to properly set the power tube bias. Otherwise all of the preamp components are still original, including the The speaker is a modern Fender-labeled Eminence 12". Overall, the amp is in very good shape, with only minor signs of previous wear, with a couple of light liquid stains. The original handle has been swapped as well. If you’ve been on the lookout for one, now is the time to pull the trigger—we never know when we’ll see another!
