If you've been looking for an original Blackguard—not just to admire, but to truly play—this is your guitar. Refinished by Clive Brown to look and feel remarkably authentic, it features a bridge pickup rewound by Ron Ellis and a Ron Ellis Tele neck pickup, making it a serious player’s instrument. A professional refret offers excellent control up the neck, and the classic '50s neck carve allows for smooth, comfortable movement. The non-original finish is convincingly aged, and both the feel and tone are unmistakable. The tuners, saddles, and nut have been replaced, but the originals—including the neck pickup, tuners, saddles, frets, and nut—are included in the case, along with the original bridge cover (ashtray). It comes housed in a modern brown tolex Fender hard shell case. You won’t want to put it down.
