First introduced at the 1958 NAMM show, Fender's intention with the Jazzmaster was to offer a professional, elite and improved solid body model that would appeal to jazz guitarists. Appealing to a completely different audience, for rock'n'roll and surf artists, the Jazzmaster became one of Fender's best selling models of the 60's.
This late 70's example is in good near-original condition, the only modification being that the control cavity has been routed slightly larger under the pickguard. The guitar shows some finish imperfections and playwear as you'd expect, and The frets are in good condition with no divots.
Includes it's original hard shell case.
