Description

This 1964 Jaguar falls in line with the perfect spec for this model, remaining original where it counts and benefiting from upgrades where it matters! All the original wiring and pickups are intact with some shielding tape added to the electronics cavities to tame outside interference. The neck is a substantial B shape with a very comfortable carve. Often Jags will have the exceptionally skinny A neck which make playing a bit crowded, especially in the first position, but this one feels great throughout. Its undergone an excellent refret on its Brazilian rosewood fingerboard as well, ensuring fantastic playability for years to come. A Descendant bridge has replaced the original for more stable intonation, and a modern Fender Mute has been added with new foam.

The finish has benefitted from a light coat of overspray to prevent finish flaking, and likely some light touch up to the black on the bass side horn. It's a practical coat that ensures the rich Sunburst remains vibrant. Added strap locks keep it secure while playing.

This Jaguar exists in the rare crossroads of collector appeal and playability without the hefty price tag of the more touted vintage Fender models (ironically enough, the Jaguar was actually the most expensive of the models back in the day!). It's perfect for surf, Indie, country or anything else you want to throw at it.
