This 1960 Fender Jazzmaster comes from the model's formative years, just two years after its introduction as Fender's top-of-the-line solidbody electric. Finished in an Olympic White refin, it captures the sleek offset styling and innovative features that set the Jazzmaster apart from the rest of the catalog at the dawn of the 60s. Its floating tremolo system, wide single-coil pickups, and extensive switching options represented a different direction for Fender at a time when electric guitar design was evolving rapidly.
This example has seen a number of updates over its lifetime, including a body refinish, replacement logo, replacement nut, and overspray to the neck and headstock.
Includes original Fender brown tolex hard shell case.
