This 1985 Fender Flame (a short-lived model whose flame only burned from 1985-1987) is a unique guitar, and seemingly a Fender attempt at recreating some Gibson specs with humbuckers, a double cutaway and maple capped body. Its tone is incredibly versatile thanks to the Schaller-designed pickups. You can get elements of a spanking Strat tone, but it also fares well with overdriven chunky chords. Truly an "only guitar you need for the gig" instrument. Cosmetically, it remains in good condition, with minor authentic player wear.
